Howdy people! I hope everyone is doing well tonight and enjoying the weekend. I know I am. This month I was invited to be a guest swatcher for the Color Box. For those of you who don’t know it is a box of 5 different brands who each collaborate with a different blogger/swatcher to create a polish, but they all have one thing in common-COLOR! This time the Facebook group, linked above, voted for green!! For all you green lovers out there you are in for a real treat!!! As a warning this post will be very picture heavy and at the end is your chance to win your very own color box.
Let me start with the polish I helped collaborate on with Jenn from Nevermind polish. I sent Jenn a general idea of what kind of green I was looking for and she blew it out of the water. Together we created Princess Ozma, a gorgeous emerald green polish with green shimmer and holo flakies. It is shown here in 3 thin coats and top coat. This was easily opaque in 2 coats I just paint very lightly.
This polish took my breath away not only in color, but also formula. In every lighting it looked different and the green shimmer really made this polish glow!
Next up we have Great Lakes Lacquer’s contribution with Manna from Manna’s Manis. This is Manna’s Magical Masterpiece-a sea green polish with blue/purple/pink shifting shimmer and a smidge of scattered holo. This one was a bit on the thin side and took 4 thin coats and top coat and I still have a VNL. With that being said however, it was still really easy to apply. The shimmer on this was so hard to capture on camera, but definitely noticeable in person.
This next polish is absolutely stunning. Jen from XOXO Jen along with Sarah and Adrienne from Fair Maiden Polish created this stunner: Hidden Lair. Hidden Lair is a gorgeous brownish green/emerald and in some lights olive green duo chrome with lots of holo. The shift is breathtaking in person. Here it is shown in 2 thin coats and top coat under an Ottlite daylight bulb. Formula was so smooth and easy to apply.
This is my little sister’s fave brand and I may have just realized why! Those ladies know how to make a nice polish.
This polish made me go “wow!” I have to admit when I first saw the inspiration pics I was expecting a mint green like so many I own, but I am happy to announce that Le Polish and Ida from Ida Nails It made my jaw drop. Succulent Stargazer reminds me of all the succulents my mom has in her backyard. It was a tad on the thinner side, but applied evenly. This was opaque in 3 thin coats. Shown here with top coat under an Ottlite daylight bulb.
A gorgeous light sage color with silver shimmer, platinum flakes, and a smidge of pink shimmer. This one is so soft and delicate. A gorgeous cream with just a splash of vintage dazzle. I am also loving the new Le Polish labels 😉
Lastly, but certainly not least is Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and An, from The Polished Hippy‘s, contribution. Green’s Alexandrite with Me is a gorgeous deep green with holo, flakies, shiftiness and probably more! This polish has it all. I was worried it was going to be thick, but it was one of my fave formulas of the bunch. I loved that it was opaque in 2 thin coats and it dried smooth!! I added topcoat in my swatches. Woah! A lot I know, but if a gal like me can fall in love with a box of green polishes you can too and here is your chance to win one! Click here for your chance to win your very own Color Box!
The box is available for pre-order here November 25 through December 2nd. Join the group for more info on how to purchase future boxes.
